Your privacy matters to us. LoveList is designed to be simple and private. We collect only what's necessary to make the app work.
1. Information We Collect
Device Information
We use your device's vendor identifier (a unique ID provided by iOS) to identify your device. This is not linked to your personal identity - it's simply how we know which bucket lists belong to which devices.
Couple Data
When you create or join a couple, we store:
- A unique couple ID
- A 6-digit couple code (for linking)
- Device IDs of linked devices
- Optional: Display names you choose to set
- Optional: A couple photo you choose to upload
Bucket List Content
We store the date ideas you add:
- Title and description
- URL (link to the original content)
- Category (Weeknight, Weekend, or Trip)
- Photos you choose to upload
- Completion status and favorites

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Sync your bucket list between linked devices
- Display your date ideas and photos
- Allow you to link with a partner
- Process feedback and concern reports you submit
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using:
- Google Firebase Firestore - for bucket list data and couple information
- Google Firebase Storage - for photos you upload
All data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption. Firebase provides enterprise-grade security and is compliant with major security standards.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data may be shared only:
- With your linked partner (this is the core functionality of the app)
- With Firebase/Google Cloud (our infrastructure provider)
- If required by law or legal process
5. Data Retention
- Active Use: Your data is retained while you use the App
- Leaving a Couple: If you leave a couple, your device is unlinked but the bucket list data remains for your partner
- Deletion: To request complete deletion of your data, contact us at the email below
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data through the App
- Correct any information by editing items in the App
- Delete individual items or request complete data deletion
- Leave a couple at any time through Settings
7. Children's Privacy
LoveList is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Third-Party Links
LoveList allows you to save links from third-party websites. When you tap these links, you leave our App and are subject to the privacy policies of those websites.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date.
10. California Privacy Rights
